1.Reservation in Government Job: In Gr. ‘C’ and ‘D’posts the Government ‘reservation’ are provided in direct recruitment for physically handicapped persons as indicated below:

2. Assistance for self employment:

Disabled persons get assistance for self employment. For details pl. refer the list (Appendix–A)

3.Assistance for purchase of aids and appliances:

Economic assistance by way of ex–gratia relief is provided by the Dir. of Social Welfare for the Welfare and Rehabilitation and for purchase of aids and appliances.

4.Other Concessions/Facilities:

Medical expenses – Reimbursement for medical treatment is given to those disabled person whose family income is less then Rs.200/– p.m. and who is not in receipt of adequate medical reimbursement from any other sources. The amount given for this purpose should not exceed Rs.5,000/– including the cost of Prosthetic aids. Journey expense for patient and one escort shall be paid. Director, Government of Health Services shall sanction the amount.
