A small step to sensitize the school children PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 01 September 2011 16:20

All India Confederation of the Blind took a small initiative towards the problems being faced by our Blind brothers and sisters while walking on Delhi roads and made a presentation on the topic Do’s and Don’ts if you see a person with a White Cane on a road.  The presentation was given at DPS Rohini, Ryan International Rohini, Appejay School, Peetampura and Nav Bharti School, Peetampura. The objective of the presentation was –

1. To educate the children, how to help a Blind person on the road or at any public place.

2. To spread this message through them to their parents, neighbors and friends.

The aforesaid presentation was attended by more the 5000 school children belonging to these schools. Can we carry on the message with the help of organizations working for blind welfare and rehabilitation to the other parts of the country too?
