Description
The Jaipur Above-knee prosthesis is indigenously designed and fabicated from locally available high density polyethelene pipe which is generally used in irrigation purposes with a knee joint and a Jaipur Foot. Jaipur Above-Knee Prosthesis are available with three types of knee joints 1.Functionally and cosmetically close to human limb. It allows amputee to flex the knee to 135 degree, permitting squatting and cross-leg sitting. 2.Knee joint unit is made of oilone which is a self - lubricating material, which prevents it from wear and tear and provides smooth silent functioning of knee joint while walking. 3. Its offset joint mechanism provides extra added stability while walking without any knee lock i.e. less energy consumption while walking. 4. Friction control is provided by two clips in knee joint unit, so that swing phase friction can be increased or decreased as per the requirement of the patient to achieve normal gait. 5. Cast is taken using state of the art IPOS brims Scientifically designed for the ischeal containment socket and knee-shin assembly is made out of HDPE Pipe, which is highly durable yet light in weight. 6. This limb is one of the lightest available above knee limb in India, weighing approximately 2.25 kg. 7. This limb is waterproof, bare-foot walking is possible. However, it can be used with shoes, if desired. 8. This limb is maintenance free and its fabrication time is 5-6 hours. 9. Patient feel secure without knee joint lock as Trochantric-Knee-Ankle (T.K.A.) alignment is maintained while aligning this limb. 10. This is the most cost effective limb and appropriate for the handicapped persons in India as well as in other developing countries. 11. Endoskeletal Pylone is a modular knee joint, which permits dynamic alignment adjustments while gait training.Company Contact Details/Address:
