School that meet the needs of Visually Impaired Children

Rehabilitation Council of India has come has come up with guidelines outlining the parameters in terms of teaching and non-teaching staff, equipment,s pace and other facilities that should be available in a special school for the blind and the visually impaired children.

The Council functions with support and expert advice of various disability specific committees. In its meeting in July 2004 at Blind People's Association at Ahmedabad, the member took a decision to bring out a booklet outlining the requirements of special school. The council wishes to place on records its appreciation for those who assisted in preparing this document.
